One especially popular item at the restaurant is English style afternoon tea called 『High tea』. You can enjoy High tea here from 15:30 to 17:30.
The restaurant is so crowded at this time zone that without reservations it is difficult to get a seat.
It is the reception of the restaurant staff which many visitors admire. After the visitor finishes a meal, they lower a new plate immediately and arrange a new knife and a new fork. If he stands placing a napkin on the chair in order to go take the food , when he has returned, the napkin is folded neatly and put on the armrest.
The staff serves naturally and gracefully and acts without never moving hurriedly.
From them, we introduce a restaurant staff who is proud of his being the hotel staff's member.

I think that work is very pleasant. Enjoying everyday from my heart. It is a continuous study every day to learn to provide the best reception for the visitor. I always consider how I get a visitor to spend an enjoyable time.
Visitors may praise our reception style sometimes. However, our reception is not forced and we have learnt that service comes from the heart.
I think that being conscious of our role as one of the bearers of the tradition of Raffles Hotel which Singapore is proud of motivates the staff to continually provide service excellence.
I believe there is still more to learn and improve. My reception style is not enough still yet. it is because a lot of things comes out like every day that I must learn newly, however I may study hard and may gain more experience to continually improve.
I think that the ideal style of service required is different from one person to the next. In order for a visitor to be able to be satisfied, to exceed their expectations how should we improve? This is a question I pose to myself and work towards everyday.
The two little birds stopped at the chair of the next table during our coverage. Since Raffles Hotel has many big plants in the courtyard, many birds can be seen on the site. Therefore I thought these little birds were lost from the window.
Mr. HAIZUL noticed that I was looking at the little bird and said "we keep them at the restaurant" jokingly and with a gentle smile. Other staff and visitors were also looking at the birds happily.

The Doormen of the Raffles Hotel - who receives the most requests for photography from travelers in Singapore. The figure of the doormen who wears the pure white uniform of Gieves & Hawkes design based on the military uniform of the British army of colonial days is vividly reminisced by memory of many visitors.

It is said that "Concierge" was a word which means "the porter of a building" in medieval Europe.
After 19th century, this word comes to be used as "charge who manages a key", and is used today as word showing the staff who mainly meets the request of a visitor in a hotel.
